salience

September 1, 2002

There's something about staying up on the phone until all hours of the morning.

A sort of energy that lasts all throughout the next day.

It's like time doesn't mean as much as it normally does: the hours don't pass by so slowly.

There's something oddly familiar in a true friend. It's a separate state of being all together: both people are deeply affected by what each has found in the other. There can be no returning to the pre-friend state. One has grown too much under the unspoken encouragement of the other to repeat her mistakes.

The connection between soulmates perpetuates euphoria.

Soulmates turned lovers initiate the sublime.
