Update time, it's update time.

1. Things at GE are running smoothly. I'm working for a '99 BC Alum of CSOM honors. She's nice, you're typical type A personality. But, we get things done, and I'm meeting a ton of people. Plus, everyone is pretty relaxed and funny around here, so time doesn't drag too much. ;)

2. Things with the familia are going well. As long as I don't bring up the job issue, my mom stays relatively calm. My dad is off is Seattle this week: we shall see how things go. I'm still waiting for my boxes to get here... I hope they make it okay. :)

3. We all went to the beach for Memorial Day, down in Ft. Walton, FL. It was refreshing, to be in a new place. Plus, I love the beach. As creepy as it sounds, that's where I want to be--preferably in Corpus Christi or Padre Island--when I die. I would love the ocean to be the last sight I see.

It just fills you to watch the waves. There is such an enormous sense of possibility. Like my family always says, "I'll stop loving the water the day it runs out."

Some highlights:
-The familia all out in the water, each with her own flotation device, all of us holding onto each other to form a cluster, just floating for hours
-My brother forming us into a caravan he could drag around, pretending to be some hero
-The twins asking me to make coffee for them
-Going fishing at high tide
-My entire family falling asleep on the beach for two hours
-Our collective sunburns
-Flying our $3 Wal-Mart, Taz kite for hours, from our beach chairs
-Tying the kite, while in air, to the back of our chairs. Being able to sit and watch the water, AND having a kite flying behind you is just too cool
-Using our Taz in the sky as a reference point when we were in the water
-Outflying all of the other expensive kites. You just can't compete with Taz. He'll beat you down, you know?
-Watching Undercover Blues
-My brother shouting along to Justin Timberlake in the car
-My dad confessing he loves Pink
