1. It was a whirlwind of a weekend, but good nevertheless. I was home for less than 48 hours, but it was the only weekend when I could get away and when things wouldn't be too crazy at home. I got to see my baby play four quarters of football, although, through no fault of his own, his team lost to Woodstock. He and two of his best buds, a total nearing 900 pounds, were put on offense due to team injuries, thus depleting the defense. That might have had something to do with their loss, yeah. I also got to see the twins' show. Surprisingly, it was cool to be back. I was able to keep my distance, as I was with el papa on the press box for the majority of the game. (He tapes all of the games for the team.) Christie and I talked and laughed with Mr. Barr for almost the entire second quarter. It was neat, reminiscing and joking around with Mr. Barr, just like old times. It made me realize how lucky the twins are to have him as a director, and just how much I miss him, even if he is rather off the wall. Plus I was proud of the band. Although Coleman doesn't have it figured out yet, with the corruption and the in-your-face show, the band is much better than when I was a part of the group, and that is how it should be. And as always, it was good to see the family, even if we were all only able to be together for a few hours. ::new pictures::
2. The semester is in full gear: full of mid term fun. As the weeks pass, I've realized Business Law is my favorite class. It's a condensed course (our final is 10/28), so it's a ton of reading and attention to detail, but it makes me wonder if I will end up in law school. I'm busy trying to piece together a job for Christmas break, as well as figuring out where I want to work this summer. GE is a good option, but if I work there again, I might try something other than a finance team. We'll see. It's one of those things I don't want to have to worry about, you know?
3. It's been over two months since I became single. Every now and again I have a cloudy day, but everything is going well. I've decided I'm not looking for anything at all right now--just having a good time with guys I get along with. I figure things will be better in the future if I can be happy on my own instead of always needing someone else to be complete.
