1. So Coleman, my high school band director, is the guest conductor for the AWS spring concert in March. It's funny how he is so in demand now--weird that he will be conducting la mama's band. But it is amusing.

2. The weather is incredibly cold up here. I've had the Friedman-esque deal in my head for some time:
Call: "The air bites shrewdly, it is very cold!!"
Answer: "Tis a nipping and an eager air!!"
The locals are saying they're seeing all the signs of a colder and more horrible winter than last year. But see, we had a blizzard last year. Can it get worse??

3. It is true. The real work at BC doesn't begin until junior year. Usually there are two waves during a semester: midterms and finals. Well, this year, it seems I'm on a three day cycle: every three days something huge is going on. I have calendars written out and outlines, just to stay one step ahead of it all. But it's fun. I came here to learn, right? And really, band stuff and friends are a blast, but I don't mind locking myself in a room in Fulton or in the library all day. When else in my life am I going to be able to do this, you know?
