My ceiling exists again, cue huge sigh of DRYNOMOREOUTSIDERAINSOAKINGMYCARPETWHENILIVEONTHEFIRSTFLOOR relief.
Michelle Brown is my hero. Her ordeal just to get home from NYC to DC will amaze you. Seriously, ask her and prepare to be amazed. Also, ask her about her surpreme nerd-dom at the Smithsonian, that too will amaze.
Boston was great. Seeing Shell right on the corner of 53rd and Madison after work Friday is one of my most favorite nyc memories yet. We had a very slow drive up to Boston thanks to road work right over the NY/CT border. Visiting Florita at her Newton, MA frat house was an adventure, complete with a comfy air mattress, tons of blankets and a necessary space heater. Quite the slumber party, actually. What I still can't believe was the NIEVE!! It was so slushy Saturday, I was not prepared: no botas, no gloves, just light fall clothes. Que frio. Got to see old friends though: now-Halle-Berry-Africa (aka DianeAddison with still the most soothing voice), MaryWall, JessieChou and PattyBoy remain among mis favoritas. We got to hang out, catch up, and made great pinkie swear unsuccessful plans for bodyart. Ah well. There's always manana, RIGHT FLORA?! Haha.
Nice to know even after five months, inside jokes and your close friends' amor remain just as you remember. :) Muah. Gracias amigas, this weekend was just what I needed.
