Anna's wedding was a spectacular event, even if it was version 2.0 (she had to marry her Tim a bit earlier than planned to sort out a visa mess for her to stay in Scotland). Her parents have a beautiful home in the heart of Wilmington, Delaware. It marked the first time that all of our Mod 18A were in the same place since we graduated almost 5 years ago.

Next up on the schedule was the Manhattan Wind Ensemble Concert at Third Street Music Settlement. I was so happy to see the turnout. We have come a long way from where we were a year ago! We've even accepted an invite to play at the Columbia Festival of Winds in March. I can't wait!

It was then time to head to Atlanta for Thanksgiving. I was very happy to spend time with my entire immediate family on the holiday itself, something that hadn't happened in some six years. I look forward to repeating that first this week on Christmas.

My Ryan came home soon after. It had only been two months, but his time away in Cambridge had felt like an eternity. Thank goodness for video chat, it made the weeks pass a little quicker.

I am very lucky to be taking my first real vacation in two years next week: no work, no plans to carry out for family, just me, Ryan and the beach in St. Thomas. I can't wait!

I'll post some pictures to get you up to date in a bit. Stay warm everyone and Feliz Navidad!
