Ryan and I headed down to Staunton, VA in the Shenandoah Valley last weekend to look at a mansion on 19 acres of land Ry has had his eye on for some time. It is about a 2 hour drive from his parents place in Manassas. While Ry and I do have plans to move to VA and buy a house eventually, this is a palatial estate built in 1929 with a $1.2MM asking price and needing about $500K worth of work done. It's a bit out of our price range at the moment, and a little too early in our timeline. It was pretty though, a relic of another time.
After our tour of the property we stopped by a winery on the way home. There were also good times had in a grocery store and a father/son tennis match that weekend.
