Currently on a train back to New York from DC. Spent the weekend with 'Chelle and her mama to take care of some wedding things. Her mama and I are throwing a shower for her at Mama Brown's house in 3 weeks, I'm throwing a bachelorette party for her that night in DC proper, and then in 3 more weeks is her big day!
This weekend we nailed down the logistics schedule for the big day (no easy feat when the women in the bridal party are getting ready in 3 separate places!), including 5 legs of transportation between the Brown's, the hotel, the church and the reception site. 'Chelle picked the shoes for is maids (my shoes are slightly different as the Matron of Honor), found a capelet to wear over her dress, had her first dress fitting (she picked a french bustle! it looks beautiful!). We also picked a make up artist I had met during fashion week last week in the city, who happens to live in Leesburg of all places! We also made all of the reception table centerpieces (lanterns with various asian themes on them: cherry blossoms, cranes, etc). We have a few projects still to get through, but the plan is to get to those once we're all back together in a few weeks for the shower/bachelorette party.
